The coastal club revealed in a statement that they signed a one-season contract with the former national team coach Galal, starting in the upcoming season.

The 55-year-old coach led Masry between December 2018 and February 2020; he managed to finish fourth in the league in the 2018-2019 season and qualified for the 2019-2020 African Confederation Cup where Masry were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Galal’s last job was with the national team which ended last June amid severe criticism for the Egyptian Football Association as he led the team for less than three months, playing only three games.

Masry finished last season in 13th place with 38 points, two points away from Gouna who were relegated to the lower division.
