The 27-year-old Fathi has become the third major signing by the Pyramids FC in the summer transfer window after Egypt international left-back Karim Hafez and Morocco international right-back Mohamed Chibi.

Fathi joined Zamalek in 2013 before joining Al-Tawon on loan in the 2017 season; he then returned to the white squad and joined Smouha on loan in the 2020 season.

The winger produced a superb performance with Smouha as he scored 17 goals and provided six assists in 27 appearances during his loan spell.

Zamalek offloaded the talented winger, Fathi to join Al-Tawon for $1 million last January.

Fathi made 156 appearances with Zamalek, scoring 28 goals and provided 16 assists; while representing Al-Tawon in the Saudi Professionals League, he appeared in 26 games scoring 10 goals and provided seven assists.
