Enppi become 7th team to change coach ahead of new Egyptian season

Enppi became the latest Egyptian Premier League club to change their coach ahead of the new season, naming Ahmed 'Koshari' Abdel-Moneim as their new boss to replace Brazilian-Portuguese manager Jorvan Vieira.

Koshari told reporters on Saturday that he had signed a two-year contract with Enppi, who are owned by a famous petroleum firm.

Enppi dismissed Vieira by the end of last season even though the team finished ninth in the league table, managing eight victories, 11 losses and 15 draws under the 68-year-old.

They became the 7th Egyptian team to replace their coach after Ahly, Ismaily, Talae El-Geish, Ittihad of Alexandria, Masry and Smouha.

Ahly named Swiss Marcel Koller as their new coach, Masry signed former Egypt boss Ehab Galal, Ittihad of Alexandria brought in Serbian Zoran Manojlovic, Smouha turned to Tarek El-Ashri and El-Geish landed Alaa Abdelaal.

Ismaily have yet to appoint a new coach following the departure of Hamza El-Gamal.
