Newly-arrived winger Mostafa Fathi made a dream debut as he put the result beyond doubt after finishing off a quick counter attack in the 78th minute.

Pyramids FC will play the second leg on 15 October at the Air Defence Stadium as well.

The Egyptian powerhouses are seeking to win the title on their fourth straight participation, having reached the final in 2020.
