Zamalek announce last three summer signings to bolster midfield and offence

Zamalek announced on Monday the signing of Wadi Degla striker Youssef Hassan, Ennpi winger Mostafa Shalaby and Talae El-Geish midfielder Amr El-Sisi as the last signings of the club in the summer transfer window.

“Shalaby is one of the best players - and especially left wingers - in the Egyptian Premier League,” Zamalek president, Mortada Mansour, announced via his Facebook page without disclosing further details.

“Amr El-Sisi and Mostafa Shalaby will be a strong addition to our midfield that has been our weakest point," Mansour said.

"We met all the signing demands of our coach Jesualdo Ferreira," he stressed.

The White Knoghts, who won the Egyptian Premier League title for the second consecutive season, are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign following a two-window transfer ban.

The three new signing raise the the number of new additions in the Whie Knights in this summer tranfer window to ten.

The club had already signed Benin striker Samson Akinyoola; Senegalese forward Ibrahima Ndiaye; Moroccan midfielder Zakaria El Wardi; Egyptian defenders Mostafa El-Zennari and Omar Gaber; midfielder Nabil Emad; and keeper Mohamed Sobhy.

Hassan, 19, joined Wadi Degla last season coming from Arab Contractors.

He is a member of the Egypt youth squad.

Shalaby, 28, has been with the petroleum side Enppi since November 2020 coming from rivals Petrol Asyut.

He scored 14 goals in 58 appearances in different competitions.

El-Sisi, 28, has been a key player for Talae El-Geish since joining in 2019 from Nogoom FC.

He scored three goals in 95 appearances in different competitions.
