The 28-year-old Savio, who joined from Bolivia's Club Bolivar in the close season, opened his account with the Reds with a first-half goal in Friday’s 2-0 win over rivals Zamalek; guiding Ahly to a record-extending 12th Super Cup title.
Savio was forced to leave the pitch after being injured in the second half against the Whites.
“Savio is ready to participate in the trainings normally,” the Ahly doctor was quoted as saying by the club’s official website, without disclosing any further details.
The 23-year-old Mohamed Abdel-Moneim broke his nose during the Super Cup game and is currently being prepared for surgery, according to Abu-Abla.
On Friday, Ahly denied Zamalek – who won the Egyptian league and cup double in the 2020-21 season – the chance to make it a hat-trick of domestic trophies.
They also made up for a bitter 2-1 loss to Zamalek in the Egypt Cup final last July.
Ahly’s next game will be against Dakhlya on Wednesday in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.
