Jaziri's return will give Zamalek a considerable boost as the team's first-choice striker after being absent for more than a month.
The 29-year-old was named in Tunisia’s squad that participated in the ongoing World Cup. As a result, Jaziri left the club to join his country's preparation camp at the beginning of November.
Despite their elimination from the first round, the player continued to be absent, missing the past two games with Zamalek. Several reports suggested that team coach Jesualdo Ferriera snubbed the player due to his failure to join the team earlier.
It is not clear whether the international striker would start the game or Ferriera will continue to rely on youth striker Youssef Hassan who played in the past two games. But it is likely that the Tunisian international will have a role in the game.
Jaziri played a vital role in Zamalek ‘s triumphant campaign in the Egyptian league last season which saw the player score ten goals.
Forward Mostafa Shalabi, who scored the winner against Pyramids FC on Sunday, will miss the game due to injury. The 28-year-old who joined Zamalek last summer scored his maiden goal with the team. According to the team doctor, however, he suffers from a minor muscle injury.
Full back Abdallah Gomaa will also miss the game due to injury. The White Knights will, however, regain the services of Mohamed Ashraf after serving a one-match ban.
Zamalek are now third in the league table with 14 points, four points behind leaders Ahly and two off second-placed Ghazl El-Mahalla who played one extra match.
On the other hand, NBE Club will play their second game under the tutelage of their new coach Helmi Toulan.
The veteran coach, who replaced Khaled Galal at the start of this month, guided the team to a goalless draw against Masry in his first appearance with the team.
He hopes to help the club beat Zamalek to boost his team's confidence as it struggles in the domestic league with only one win in 6 games.
The mission will not be easy for the former Zamalek star and coach, but the 73-year-old is used to giving strong performances against Zamalek
