"We will sign new players during the winter transfer window in January, and we want to show more strength and ferocity in the coming period," Abdel-Hafiz told an Egyptian TV channel after the game.

"We are not worrying about the Club World Cup at the moment, we will participate according to the tournament regulations, and we will not respond to the rumors from the Moroccan club Raja, that they deserve to participate instead of us," he said.

Egyptian giants Ahly said earlier that they will take part in the FIFA Club World Cup in February despite finishing as runners-up in the African Champions League last season, taking advantage of the selection of Morocco as the host country.

Abdel-Hafiz stressed that Tuesday's victory over Pharco is very important, adding that the league journey is still long, as the Red Devils seek to win it after losing the title in the past two seasons.

Ahly made a perfect start this season, claiming six consecutive wins before Friday’s draw against Future FC.
