The Red Devils have mainly played their home games, especially in domestic competitions, at Al-Salam Stadium since securing a 25-year lease for the venue in 2019.
However, Koller partly blamed the condition of the pitch for two draws with Future FC and Smouha. Although the club were also held to a 1-1 draw by Ceramica Cleopatra at Cairo Stadium on Wednesday, the Swiss said his side had played a better game.
"Cairo Stadium's pitch is better than that of Al-Salam, which causes some problems for our players," he said.
Ahly said in a statement on Friday that Monday's vital clash against Pyramids was moved from Al-Salam to Cairo Stadium.
Local reports suggested that the Cairo giants would seek to hold all their home matches at the same venue for the rest of the season.
Ahly have used Cairo Stadium, which is owned by the state, as their home venue for over six decades, having been forced to abandon a small stadium they built in the early 20th century due to security concerns.
They traditionally shared the 74,100-seater stadium with arch rivals Zamalek.
Ahly's recent slump in form saw them throw away a four-point lead over Zamalek on top of the Premier League table. They have drawn three out of their last four games.
