Ahly s Karim Fouad. Ahram
The 24-year-old sustained his injury during Ahly's 3-0 win over Pyramids FC in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday.
The initial diagnoses suggested that Fouad had sprained his knee but further scans showed that he tore the anterior cruciate ligament. He now faces at least six months on the sidelines.
He is the second Ahly player to sustain an ACL injury in less than two weeks after right-back Akram Tawfik.
Fouad, who joined Ahly in the summer of 2021, made a fine start to the season, scoring twice and providing two assists in 11 appearances with the Red Devils.
