"We have to be cautious not to repeat last season's mistakes when we defeated Zamalek by five goals but eventually couldn't win the title," Abdel Hafiz told OnTime Sports in a pitch-side interview following the Cairo derby game.
Ahly secured a precious victory over arch-rivals Zamalek, thanks to a second-half goal from Mahmoud Kahraba and a late brace from substitute Mohamed Sherif.
"I congratulate all Ahly's supporters after the victory over Zamalek and we have to concentrate on the coming games as we have a busy agenda that includes a league game against NBE Club on Tuesday before we travel (to Morocco) for the Club World Cup."
Leaders Ahly, who top the table with 34 points from 14 games, increased their lead over fourth-placed and defending champions Zamalek to eight points. Future are second on 30 points, with Pyramids third on 27.
