Egypt’s former boss Ehab Galal has resigned from his post as Pharco FC coach after just a month in charge following Monday’s 1-0 league loss to Enppi, the club announced on Tuesday.

The club reportedly accepted Galal’s apology, wishing the 55-year old tactician the best of luck in the coming period.

Galal was appointed as Pharco coach on 17 December, succeeding Portuguese coach Nuno Almeida who was fired due to the team’s poor start in the current season.

Under the guidance of Galal, Pharco played eight games; they secured just one win, lost in four and drew in the remaining three.

As he started the season as a coach with Port Said-based club Masry, Galal will not be able to work again in the Egyptian league this term according to the Egyptian Football Association’s new regulations.

Coaches are allowed to sign for a new club only if they were fired. Also they cannot work for more than two clubs in the similar division at the same season.

Earlier in December, Galal was dismissed by Masry after just five games in charge, with reports suggesting at the time that he was shown the door after insulting the team's supporters during a 2-2 league draw with Zamalek.

Galal had a short and unsuccessful stint with the national team which ended last June; he led the Pharaohs for less than three months, playing only three games.

Pharco, who finished eighth on their maiden Premier League appearance last season, currently lie in the 13th place of the league table with 13 points, 21 points behind leaders Ahly.
