“Scans revealed that Abdel-Fattah is suffering from an interior knee ligament injury that will sideline him for one week before rejoing the trainings,” Ahly’s doctor Ahmed Abu-Abla told the club’s official website.
Abdel-Fattah, 24, joined the Red Devils earlier in January from league rivals Smouha on a six-month loan deal with option to buy.
Since joining Ahly, Abdel-Fattah has made six appearances in different competitions.
He came in as a substitute in Saturday's home draw against Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in the CAF Champions League.
Abdel-Fattah is the latest on a long-list of injuries that hit the squad recently including defender Mahmoud Metwally, in-form winger Hussein El Shahat and midfielder Amr El Sulaya.
Ahly, who are facing Dakhleya in the Egyptian Premier League later today, currently lead the League table with 40 Points from 16 games, two ahead of second- placed Pyramids FC who played three games more.
