The Tunisian player has scored seven goals with Enppi in the Egyptian Premier League so far this season in 21 appearances, putting him three goals behind leading scorer Ahmed El-Sheikh from Ghazl El Mahalla.
"We had to beat Zamalek to improve our ranking in the table," Kabou told a television program after the game. Kabou broke the deadlock in the 20th minute with a powerful strike, while Fawzi doubled Enppi's lead with a well-placed shot inside the box, seven minutes after the hour-mark.
Enppi currently sits at 13th place on the league table with 20 points in 21 games, while Zamalek are fifth with 33 points in 20 games.
"I hoped to score before the game against Zamalek to compete for the league top scorer prize," the Tunisian striker said.
The 30-year-old striker joined Enppi in September 2022 from Egyptian team Wadi Degla.
