Zamalek, currently sitting fifth in the league table with 33 points, face a tough challenge against the ninth-placed Masry, who have garnered 28 points so far. Both teams are eager to secure a victory to boost their chances of securing a continental spot as their hopes to win the title are very slim. 

The defending champions will play the game without many players (9) who will miss the game for different reasons. 

In their last outing, Zamalek claimed a thrilling 4-3 victory over Al-Merrikh in the CAF Champions League group stage. Despite their elimination from the continental competition, the White Knights hope to build on their last victory to improve their situation in the domestic league. 

On the other hand, Masry secured a narrow 1-0 win against Talae El-Geish in their previous league match.

The earlier encounter this season between the two sides ended in a 2-2 draw. 

A win for Zamalek would propel them to the fourth spot, while success for Masry could elevate their ranking to seventh place with 35 points.
