Ahly aim to take advantage of their recent qualification to the CAF Champions League quarter-finals and boost their morale.
The Red Devils secured a 3-0 victory over Sudan's Al Hilal to secure their passage to the knockout rounds behind group leaders Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
Coach Marcel Koller plans to rotate his team to avoid fatigue and injuries. Among the players who may sit out of the game are international goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy and Tunisia full-back Ali Maaloul.
Koller thanked the fans for their massive support during the last game. "I wish to see you attend every game in such a legendary way because football is played for you! Thank you very much, and I always hope to be the reason to make you happy," Koller said in a statement posted on his Facebook page.
Meanwhile, Ghazl El-Mahalla seeks to continue their recent momentum after a 2-0 victory over Ittihad of Alexandria last Friday, as they currently sit eighth on the league table with 30 points, although they have played four games more.
Ahly leads the league table with 44 points from 18 games, and a victory over Ghazl El-Mahalla would further solidify their position at the top of the table.
