“Ahly fans were the main reason behind the victory. We play attacking football and create various scoring chances, but ultimately we cannot score at every chance,” Ahly’s Swiss coach said.

Sami Komsan

“The cup triumph gives the team a morale boost to proceed and win another title [the Super Cup]. The players proved that they are champions and fighters for all titles with their concentration and fighting spirit,” said Ahly’s Egyptian assistant coach.

Mohamed El-Shennawy

“We were concentrated on winning the cup title and we achieved our target and added a new trophy for our club. Football is nothing without fans who grant players huge support. I am happy that they returned home with the title and I hope that they will attend all our coming games,” Ahly’s goalkeeper and skipper declared.

Ali Maaloul

“Egypt Cup is a precious title that we got from our main opponent in the tournament. The players’ desire and enthusiasm are the key factors behind today’s victory,” Ahly’s Tunisian left back said.

Kahraba

“I am happy after scoring the opener for my team. I would like to thank the technical staff, my family and the fans for the huge support in the last period,” Ahly’s influential winger Mahmoud 'Kahraba' Abdel-Moneim said.

Hussein El-Shahat

“All players were determined to win the cup title to have another chance to compete for the Super Cup title. Our concentration now will be on the league campaign especially as we are the leaders and then we will look for the Super Cup,” said the Ahly winger who earned the second goal for the Reds.

Hamdy Fathy

“My goal is the outcome of the efforts exerted by the whole team, the management, the technical staff and also the supporting fans. We are fully concentrated to win every single game to win all the titles to please our fans,” the Ahly midfielder declared.

Mohamed Abdel-Moneim

"I did not feel the joy of winning the Egypt Cup and was sad because of the red card. The past period was difficult for all players, and every player wants to achieve victories and titles. The audience in the stadium helps the players play well and provide a distinguished level. All players in Ahly are focused on achieving victories and regaining the league title." Ahly defender said.
