The Red Devils secured their 38th Egypt Cup by coming back from behind to defeat Pyramids FC 2-1 in extra-time at Cairo International Stadium.

Abdel-Moneim punched Pyramids FC defender Fakhredine Ben Youssef in the face during extra-time, resulting in his sending off after a VAR consultation.

The Egyptian international defender will only serve his ban in the Egypt Cup, meaning he will be eligible for selection in last season's Egyptian Super Cup against Zamalek on 5 May.

Moreover, both Ahly and Pyramids FC have been fined LE40,000 and LE25,000, respectively, for the behaviour of their fans and staff during the game.
