The Colombian coach was named as the team's new coach last week, succeeding Portuguese coach Jesualdo Ferreira, who left the team by mutual consent in the last week of March.
During this month, local-based coaches Ahmed Abdel-Makssoud and Medhat Abdel Hadi took charge of the team, which has been struggling on all fronts.
However, Zamalek managed to secure two successive wins for the first time since the start of the year, defeating bottom sides NBE Club and Harras El-Hodoud 1-0 and 3-0, respectively.
These two wins allowed Zamalek to maintain their fourth place in the league table with 39 points, 11 behind leaders Ahly, who still have three games in hand.
Osorio will be hoping to maintain the team's recent winning momentum and take advantage of Arab Contractors' shaky performances, which are far from those produced at the start of the season.
Arab Contractors have failed to earn a single win in their past eight games, losing four and drawing the other four.
In the reverse fixture, Zamalek was held to a goalless draw by Arab Contractors.
However, they will be hoping to secure a win this time around as they bid for securing a continental berth.
