The Colombian tactician is eager to make up for his debut game's disappointment, which ended in a 2-2 draw against Arab Contractors.

The 62-year old tactician said defensive errors were the main reason for giving away points, and he is working to fix that ahead of the Ceramica Cleopatra tie. Although the coach stressed the need for more time for the team to reach harmony, he is determined to get the best out of his players.

Zamalek's preparations for the game have been hampered by injuries to several key players. Ahmed "Zizo" Sayed, who suffered from a muscle injury, is expected to play, but Mohamed Abdel-Shafi and Abdallah Gomaa, among four other players, will miss the game due to injuries, while Mostafa Shalaby will also be absent due to suspension.

Despite winning the last two Egyptian league titles, Zamalek's season has been catastrophic so far, having been eliminated from the Egypt Cup and the CAF Champions League during the group stage. They are currently fourth in the table with 40 points, trailing 13 points behind leaders Ahly, who have played three games less.

However, Zamalek still hope to secure a Champions League spot next season by finishing second in the league table.
