Pyramids FC will face Ahly in the UAE after Zamalek withdrew from the game, earlier this week.

Pacheco has lost two previous finals against Ahly, and he believes that his players will perform their best to clinch the title this term.

The Portuguese coach has a negative record against Ahly in finals, as he lost 2-1 in the 2020 CAF final with Zamalek and suffered another 2-1 defeat in the Egypt Cup final with Pyramids FC last month.

"It will be my third final against Ahly,” Pacheco told the pre-match news conference on Thursday.

“During the past two finals, we performed well, but small mistakes prevented my teams from winning.”

“I hope to avoid these kinds of mistakes on Friday, especially since we are determined to claim the title."

Pacheco added, "It's easy to say that my team is not ready for the game and the players are exhausted, but we will do our best to win the game."

On Sunday, Pyramids FC were eliminated from the Confederation Cup quarter-finals following their 1-0 loss to Marumo Gallants of South Africa.

The team returned to Cairo on Tuesday morning after a long trip before heading to the UAE on Wednesday.
