The Tunisian side faces an uphill battle on Friday as they visit Cairo's giant Ahly in the second leg of the Champions League semis.
In the first leg, they suffered a humiliating 3-0 loss against a solid Ahly side who are now one step closer to the competition's final.
“The heavy defeat in the first leg does not reflect the true level of my players,” Boussaidi told the pre-match news conference on Thursday.
“Players are determined to perform well and defend their reputation”.
“Nothing is impossible in football.” he concluded.
Boussaidi was appointed as Esperance's interim coach earlier this week following the resignation of coach Nabil Maaloul, who stepped down from his post after the defeat against Ahly.
