In the 54th minute, Mohamed El Shami sealed the victory for the Dervishes with a brilliant volley shot, lifting them to the 11th spot on the table with 32 points from 28 games. Haras El Hodoud were reduced to 10 men in the 4th minute when defender Mostafa Gamal received a red card in the fourth.
Ismaily now sit comfortably with a five-point cushion above the relegation zone.
On the other hand, Haras El Hodoud find themselves languishing at the bottom of the 18-team table, managing only 16 points from 27 games. Their fate appears increasingly inevitable as they struggle to find their footing.
Since assuming the reins in February, coach Hamza El-Gamal has orchestrated a remarkable turnaround for Ismaily, guiding the team from the depths of the table to a more respectable mid-table position.
Under the leadership of the former international defender, the three-time Egyptian champions have emerged victorious in five matches, while drawing three and suffering two defeats in their last 10 outings.
El-Gamal becomes the fourth coach to helm the team this season, following the tenures of Spaniard Juan Carlos Garrido, Ayman El Gamal, and Mido.
However, it is under El-Gamal's tutelage that Ismaily has enjoyed the most success, and his team are now in a good position to avoid relegation.
