Earlier media reports had raised concerns over Fathy's availability for the two-legged final, as it was suggested that he had suffered a hamstring injury.

"Fathy underwent scans earlier today and the results are quite reassuring. He has already started his rehabilitation program and participated in some training today. We are working to prepare him for the final on 4 June," About Abla told Ahly's official website.

Images published on the club's website showcased Fathy engaged in individual training and light running, while his teammates were fully geared up for their league game against Ceramica Cleopatra on Monday.

The 28-year-old international midfielder has been a pivotal figure in Ahly's midfield, and his absence would be a major blow ahead of the Champions League final.
