Osorio, who previously worked as an assistant coach at Manchester City in 2001 and met Guardiola and his former assistant coach Mikel Arteta in 2019, stated that he has not been in contact with the triple-winning coach during his visit to Egypt.
“Manchester City boss Guardiola has arrived in Egypt with his family to spend a vacation, and I did not contact him,” Osorio told reporters.
The Colombian tactician believes that Guardiola should focus on enjoying his time off and exploring Egypt’s famous landmarks such as the Pyramids.

"It is better for Pep to spend his vacation away from football after a long and exhausting season, and visit the Pyramids and other places rather than to come to Zamalek or any workplace in general," Osorio concluded.

The Zamalek coach's remarks came after he led his team to the Egypt Cup quarter-finals following a 3-1 victory over Alexandria's Pharco on Friday.
The 62-year-old Colombian football veteran was appointed in April, becoming the fourth to lead the White Knights this season, following Jesualdo Ferreira, Osama Nabih, and Ahmed Abdel-Maksoud.
