Veteran Tunisian left-back Ali Maaloul opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 19th minute with a perfectly placed free-kick from outside the area.

Talented winger Ahmed Abdel-Kader doubled Ahly's lead with a brilliant ball control outside the area, followed by a decisive strike into the back of the net.

Substitute Mahmoud 'Kahraba' Abdel-Moneim added a third goal during injury time after scoring from an unmarked position inside the area.

The recently crowned African Champions League winners currently lead the table with 68 points, one point ahead of second-placed Pyramids FC, who have played five more matches.

Ahly need just nine points from a possible 24 to secure their 43rd Egyptian League title.

NBE Club, who made their debut in the Egyptian Premier League last season, failed to move up the table and remain in 11th place with 35 points after playing 33 matches so far.

Although NBE Club started the game with early pressure on Ahly, their efforts were off-target.

Ahly's midfielder Alio Dieng came close to giving his team an early lead with a brilliant strike from outside the area, but NBE Club goalkeeper Abou-Gabal turned it into a corner kick.

After Dieng's strike, the Red Devils dominated the game and lost several scoring chances through Abel-Kader and Mohamed Sherif before heading into halftime.

In the second half, Ahly continued their pressure, and Sherif missed an easy scoring chance inside the area. Percy Tau also had a great opportunity, but NBE Club's goalkeeper stopped the South African winger's effort.

Ahly coach Marcel Koller called up the substitutes to increase the scoring, and Mahmoud Kahraba, Taher Mohamed Taher, and Ahmed Kandouci joined the game to finish with a commanding 3-0 win over NBE Club.

Ahly's next match will be against third-placed Future FC, who have 57 points, in a postponed game from matchday 24 on Sunday.
