The Bolivian club did not reveal the financial details or the type of deal for the transfer, whether it is permanent or a loan.

At 28-years-old, Savio signed a three-year, $1.5 million deal with Ahly in September of last year. In 18 games for the club, he scored two goals and provided three assists.

Savio scored his first goal for Ahly in a 2-0 victory against Zamalek in the 2021-22 Egyptian Super Cup on 28 October 2022. This was his first career title.

After missing the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco in February due to a knee injury, Savio fell out of favor and only played in three games for Ahly.

Despite this, Savio won the Egyptian Cup, Egyptian Super Cup, and African Champions League with Ahly.

He also played in the Egyptian Pro League, where the Red Devils are close to clinching the title.
