The 31-year-old was caught on camera slapping Pyramids FC's fullback, Mohamed El-Chibi, after Ahly's 3-0 defeat at the Air Defense Stadium.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the club said, "Ahly categorically refuse all the incidents that occurred following the game against Pyramids.
"Our success during the season does not mean that we will allow any sort of misconduct."
Following the game, El-Shahat apologized to El-Chibi in the presence of Ahly's football director, Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, and his Pyramids counterpart, Hani Saed.
El-Shahat has also been suspended for two games by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and fined EGP 20,000 on Monday.
However, Pyramids FC has expressed their dissatisfaction with the EFA's sanctions and has launched an appeal with the EFA appeals committee, demanding an increase in the sanctions imposed on the Ahly winger.
El-Shahat played a vital role in Ahly's successful campaign this season, which saw the club win two Egypt Super Cup titles, the Egypt Cup, the CAF Champions League, and the domestic league after a two-year absence.
He scored ten goals and provided 11 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.
The former Maqassa player joined Ahly in January 2019 and renewed his contract with the club for the next three seasons last June.
