Recent reports have suggested that Masry are in the final stages of securing a deal for the 26-year-old defender, who has been linked with a move to Zamalek, during the ongoing transfer window.
"El-Mohamady's contract with the club features an EGP 20 million release clause," Abou Gresha told El-Remontada TV program.
El-Mohamady, the team's captain, is currently under contract with Ismaily until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
Abou Gresha acknowledged that Ismaily is aware of the negotiations between El-Mohamady and Masry, emphasizing that they will not impede the player's departure if that is his desire.
"While we would prefer El-Mohamady to stay with the club, we have no objection to his departure if he wants to. We understand that talks between him and Masry have reached an advanced stage, and there are other clubs interested in his services. However, the club that meets his release clause will secure his signature," Abou Gresha added.
In the 2022/2023 season, the Egyptian international defender featured in 30 matches across all competitions for Ismaily, scoring two goals.
El-Mohamady initially joined Ismaily's senior team in 2015 and was later loaned out to Zamalek for a season, although he did not make any appearances for the White Knights.
The cash-strapped coastal-club has been forced to sell its best players over the past few years to slide down in the table.
The three-time Egyptian Champions finished 11th in the league table to avoid relegation after another struggling season.
Coach Ehab Galal has been appointed as their new manager with the hope he could turn around the team's fortunes.
