Egypt Football Association (EFA) announced that the Egypt Super Cup game between the premier league winner Ahly and Egypt's Cup champion ENPPI will be played on 8 September in Military stadium, the state-run news agency MENA reports on Friday.

The EFA also revealed the crucial showdown will be held behind closed doors due to security reasons.

The Egyptian Premier League new season (2012-2013) will kick off on 17 September after being suspended the previous season following Port Said disaster that left more than 74 dead and hundreds injured after the Ahly's game against Masry in the premier league.

The interior ministry insisted it would not secure any game unless all new ten safety requirements were met by the cash-strapped Egyptian clubs.
