The reigning CAF Champions League title holders Ahly are set to face USM Alger, winners of the Confederations Cup, in the Africa Super Cup on Friday at Saudi Arabia's King Fahd Sport City Stadium.
"Our focus right now is on the African Super Cup game, aiming to delight our fans worldwide and kick-start the season on a positive note," said winger Kahraba, as quoted on the club's official website.
Ahly clinched an impressive five titles last season, including the domestic league, Egypt Cup, and African Champions League, and they are determined to replicate that success this year.
The Cairo giants will commence their journey in the quarter-finals of the inaugural African Football League (AFL) on Friday, 20 October.
As reigning champions of the Egyptian Premier League, Ahly conducted a preparatory camp earlier this month in Austria to gear up for the upcoming season before travelling to Saudi Arabia for the African Super Cup game.
"The atmosphere in the camp has been positive, and we are highly motivated to secure the Super Cup title," stated Ahly's right-back Mohamed Hani.
