In an official statement posted on the club's website, it was confirmed that the club has received approval from the security authorities to accommodate approximately 30,000 supporters for the match against Saint George.
Initially, the game was scheduled to be hosted by the Ethiopian side, but they opted to play both legs in Cairo. The second leg is set to take place one week later.
Usually, Egyptian authorities permit the presence of around 5,000 supporters at club games in the domestic league and African competitions.
However, the Egyptian Professional League (EPL) has successfully increased the number of fans allowed to attend matches this season to 10,000 in the domestic league.
Ahly, who clinched the CAF Champions League title last season, are bidding for their 12th African champions title in the club's history.
