Tau broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, while the in-form winger, Hussien El-Shahat, added the second goal six minutes before halftime.

In the 69th minute, Tau found the back of the net again, securing his side's third goal.

Ismaily's Togolese striker, Yaw Annor, scored a consolation goal for his team in injury time.

The game took a sour turn for Ahly when their new signing, Emam Ashour, was stretchered off in the 30th minute due to what appeared to be a serious injury.

Ismaily had an early opportunity to take the lead in the fourth minute when Abdel-Rahan Magdi cleared the ball for Yaw Annor, but the striker failed to control it and wasted the chance with a poor finish.

Percy Tau capitalised on a rebound from Hussein El-Shahat's shot off the post, easily scoring into an open net.

Six minutes before halftime, youth midfielder Ahmed Nabil played a precise pass to set up Hussein El-Shahat, who finished beautifully, giving Ahly a comfortable advantage heading into the locker rooms.

In the second half, Ismaily applied pressure and had several half-chances but failed to convert them into goals.

Tau punished the visitors for their lack of cutting edge as he completed his brace in the 69th minute, receiving a well-placed pass from winger Taher Mohamed.

With this goal, Tau has now scored four times, putting him at the top of the goal-scoring list alongside Ittihad of Alexandria's Angolan striker, Mabululu.

A defensive lapse allowed Ismaily's Yaw Annor to score the consolation goal.

Ahly currently sit sixth in the league table with six points, trailing Modern Future by three points, although Modern Future has played one more match.
