The Gaza Strip has been under attack by the Israeli army since 7 October, resulting in the death of around 4000 people and more than 11,000 were injured, according to The Palestinian Ministry of Health figures.

Ahly, in a statement on their official website, expressed their condolences to the Palestinian people and criticized the international community for not taking a stronger stance against the Israeli aggression.

"Ahly mourns the Palestinian martyrs and expresses absolute condemnation of the injustice and the disappointing international silence regarding what is happening in Palestine," read a statement on Ahly's official X account on Wednesday.

The Cairo giants reaffirmed full solidarity with the Palestinians and announced that the revenues from their upcoming game against Simba of Tanzania in the African Football League would be donated to the victims in Palestine.

"The club reaffirms full solidarity with the Palestinian people until they regain their legitimate rights and occupied land. Long live free Palestine," the statement added.

Zamalek also declared mourning and condemned the violence inflicted on innocent civilians, particularly women and children, during the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.

"The club mourns the souls of the Palestinian martyrs. The club strongly condemns all acts of violence against innocent civilians, including children and women, during the ongoing aggression," read a statement on the club's official website on Wednesday.

Furthermore, the Egyptian Football Association has ordered a minute of silence to be observed in all competitions to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and honor of the martyrs.

Several Egyptian players, both domestically and abroad, have expressed their concerns and solidarity with the Palestinians amidst the Israeli war on Gaza that started 12 days ago.

Players such as Mohamed Elneny of Arsenal, Mostafa Mohamed of Nantes, Mahmoud "Trezeguet" Hassan of Trabzon, Ahmed "Kouka" Hassan of Pendikspor, Mahmoud "Shikabala" Abdel-Razek (captain of Zamalek), and Mohamed "Afsha" of Ahli have condemned the Israeli aggression and voiced their support for the Palestinian people.
