"The sports channels sector of the United Media Services network has successfully acquired the TV broadcasting rights for the African Football League matches," OnTime Sports announced in an official statement.
The statement further revealed that the management of the sector has signed a contract to broadcast the AFL tournament's matches on the OnTime Sports network of channels.
The highly anticipated continental tournament is scheduled to kick off on 20 October, with a match between Egypt's Ahly and Tanzania's Simba.
The winner of the tournament will receive a substantial reward of $4 million, making it the highest prize in continental club competitions.
The inaugural edition of the AFL will feature a home-and-away structure combined with a knockout system, with plans for future expansions.
A total of eight top-flight teams will be participating in the AFL, including Egypt's Ahly, Tanzania's Simba, Angola's Petro Atletico, Nigeria's Enyimba, DR Congo's TP Mazembe, Morocco's Wydad Casablanca, Tunisia's Esperance, and South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns.
The AFL semi-finals are scheduled to take place from 29 October to 1 November, while the championship final is set for 5 and 11 November.
