Simba among best teams in Africa: Coach Oliviera ahead of 2nd test against Ahly
The Red Devils who played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg away on Friday will host the Tanzanian side in the second leg at Cairo stadium on Tuesday.
“We respect our opponent Ahly a lot and I think they also respect us, especially after the strong performance we delivered in the first leg,” Oliviera said in the pre-match news conference on Monday.
Simba coach voiced confidence in his team, stressing that his side is among the best seven teams in Africa.
“Tuesday’s match is very important for us and we should prepare well for it. It is an opportunity to give the chance for some youth players to get the experience of playing against Ahly,” he concluded.
If Ahly advances to the semifinals, they will face the winner of the match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Petro Atletico.
The South African side claimed a 2-0 away win in the first leg on Saturday.
