As the reigning title holders, Ahly aims to secure a victory that will propel them to an advanced place in the league standings.
Having recently been eliminated from the inaugural African Football League (AFL), the Red Devils now shift their focus back to domestic competition.
Their campaign in the new season started impressively, with commanding victories over Masry, Ismaily, and Arab Contractors.
On the other hand, Ceramica Cleopatra enters the game with a surge of motivation following their remarkable 2-0 triumph over league leaders Pyramids FC last week.
Currently positioned 13th in the table, Ceramica Cleopatra has accumulated seven points from five games. Ahly, with nine points, trails behind Pyramids FC by four points.
Originally slated for September, the match was postponed due to Ahly's participation in the African Champions League.
Ahly will be without the services of Mahmoud "Kahraba" Abdel-Moneim, who is serving a six-match ban, as well as Moroccan winger Reda Slim, who is sidelined due to injury.
There is some positive news for Ahly as midfielder Amr El-Sulaya, who missed the team's previous games, has returned to training.
However, his availability for the upcoming game remains uncertain, along with that of Tunisian left-back Ali Maaloul, who is nursing a muscle injury.
"El-Sulaya has rejoined training after recovering from a muscle injury that kept him out of previous games," stated Ahly's doctor, Ahmed Gab Allah, on the club's official website.
"Maaloul is currently dealing with a muscle injury and is undergoing medical tests to assess the severity and his potential availability for the Ceramica Cleopatra match," added the doctor.
In contrast, Ceramica Cleopatra has secured two wins, suffered two defeats, and drawn one game in the league after five matches, showcasing a mixed performance thus far.
