Substitute midfielder Mohamed 'Afsha' Magdi scored a rare header in injury time to seal the win for Ahly.

Ahly defender Yasser Ibrahim opened the scoring in the 33rd minute. However, Ceramica Cleopatra's Algerian midfielder Ahmed Kendouci equalized just two minutes before the hour-mark.

Throughout the game, Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawi made crucial saves, denying dangerous chances from Mahmoud Abdel-Hafez and Ahmed Kendouci.

Despite an unconvincing performance from Ahly, a defensive error from Ceramica Cleopatra allowed Yasser Ibrahim to score from a corner and put his team ahead.

El-Shennawi once again prevented the hosts from equalizing, making a crucial block on Mahmoud Abdel-Hafiz's powerful shot that hit the crossbar.

Ahmed Kendouci, who is on loan from Al Ahly to Ceramica Cleopatra, levelled the score with a well-placed shot from inside the area in the 58th minute.

He came close to adding a second goal but was denied by El-Shennawi's save from close range.

Ceramica Cleopatra's defender Ragab Nabil was sent off with a second yellow card in the 70th minute, reducing them to 10 men.

Ahly intensified their attack in search of the winning goal, and they eventually found it in injury time.

Afsha, left unmarked, connected with Karim Fouad's precise cross and scored with a fine header.

With this victory, Ahly now sit in second place in the league table with 12 points, just one point behind leaders Pyramids FC, who have played two more games.

Next, Ahly will face Gouna in another postponed game on Saturday.
