The reigning champions are determined to extend their winning streak after a perfect start to their domestic season, securing victories against Masry, Ismaily, Arab Contractors, and a hard-fought injury-time win over Ceramica Cleopatra on Wednesday.

The Red Devils enter the game sitting in second place in the league table with 12 points, just one point behind leaders Pyramids FC, who have played two more games.

However, the Cairo giants will have to forgo the services of Mahmoud "Kahraba" Abdel-Moneim, who is serving a six-match ban, and of Moroccan winger Reda Slim, midfielder Amr El-Sulaya, and defending duo Akram Tawfik and Ali Maaloul due to injuries.

On the other hand, Gouna, currently ranking 10th in the league with eight points from two wins, two draws, and one defeat, will strive to win their third match in a row, having already defeated Pharco FC and Dakhleya.

In their previous encounter last season, Ahly emerged victorious with a 2-0 win over El Gouna, breaking a series of four draws between the two sides in the league and the League Cup.
