The Cairo giants kicked off their campaign in the group stage with a narrow 1-0 victory over Abu Salim of Libya, while SOAR Coyah suffered a 2-0 defeat to Sagrada Esperanca of Angola last week.

Zamalek currently sits in second place in Group B, tied with Sagrada Esperanca with three points, with the Angolan team leading the group due to a superior goal difference over the Whites.

Zamalek's squad will receive a boost with the return of defender Mahmoud Alaa, who has recovered from a muscle injury, and Hossam Abdel-Meguid, who has also overcome a nose injury sustained during the Olympic national team camp.

However, the Whites will have to navigate the match without the services of the suspended trio Ahmed Fattouh, Mohamed Sobhi, and Mostafa El-Zenari.

Zamalek's interim coach Moatamed Gamal expressed confidence in his players' ability to achieve a positive result and continue their winning streak in the secondary continental tournament.

"I am confident in the players' ability to secure a positive result against SOAR, and we must maintain our focus throughout the game," Gamal said.

"The match will be challenging, but I believe the players will meet the expectations," added the Zamalek coach.

Meanwhile, SOAR Coyah coach Auda bin Ammar acknowledged the difficulty of the game for both teams, stating that he closely monitored Zamalek's performances and emphasized his team's readiness for the upcoming match.

"There have been no changes in Zamalek's squad, as we have been closely following all their players. I am unsure if they have any knowledge of our players, but we are eagerly awaiting the game," the SOAR Coyah coach stated during an Egyptian sports TV programme.

"The players will be the ones to make the difference on the field as both teams play attacking football," he added.

"We will strive to achieve a positive result against Zamalek, one of the best teams in the continent's history," concluded the tactician.
