Zamalek, the dominant force in the African Confederation Cup, are set to continue their impressive run as they take on Angola's Sagrada Esperanca in the third round of the group stage on Saturday.

With two consecutive victories under their belt, a 1-0 win over Libyan team Abu Salim and a commanding 4-0 triumph against Guinean side SOAR Coyah, the Whites have proven themselves to be unstoppable.

Interim coach Moatamed Gamal expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance in the group stage, emphasizing their determination to compete for the championship title.

"Zamalek are a major team, and our objective is to make a deep run in the tournament, as top teams always vie for the title," stated Gamal during the post-game press conference.

Currently leading Group B with six points, Zamalek hold a three-point advantage over both Abu Salim and Sagrada Esperanca, while SOAR Coyah sit at the bottom of the group with no points.

However, Zamalek will face several challenges in their upcoming match against Sagrada Esperanca.

Defenders Mahmoud Hamdi and Hossam Abdel-Maguid, along with striker Mostafa Shalabi, will be unavailable as they recover from injuries. Additionally, the trio of Ahmed Fattouh, Mohamed Sobhi, and Mostafa El-Zenari will remain absent from the squad due to suspension.

Originally scheduled for Sunday, the game has been moved back by 24 hours by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for undisclosed marketing reasons.
