With both teams tied on six points, Modern Future aims to secure the top spot in Group A.

They started their group stage campaign with a narrow 1-0 home victory over South Africa's SuperSport United and followed it up with a 2-1 win against Al-Hilal of Libya.

USM Alger, on the other hand, defeated Al-Hilal and SuperSport United to claim the group's top position based on goal difference over Modern Future.

"We have thoroughly analyzed our opponents and are prepared for the game, expecting a challenging mission," said Modern Future FC's Portuguese coach, Ricardo Formosinho, during a press conference.

"While USM Alger may have more talented players in their squad, we won't abandon our attacking style of play as our target is always to win," Formosinho added.

Modern Future faces a setback in the defense area as defenders Khaled Reda and Cameroonian Jonathan Ngwem will miss the game due to injuries. Additionally, defender Ali El-Fil is unavailable due to suspension.

USM Alger claimed the Confederation Cup title last season after defeating Young Africans of Tanzania on the away goals rule.

Both teams will be eager to secure a victory in this crucial match as they aim to strengthen their position in the group and enhance their chances of progressing further in the tournament.
