Ahly are now waiting for an exciting game when they will face Brazil's Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense in the semis on Monday.
Ahram Online collected reactions from players and technical staff members following the game that was played at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

Sami Komsan
“Ahly always write new history and forget the past. We dealt with the Ittihad game excellently starting from relieving the pressure on our players before the game till delivering the team’s real personality on the pitch,” Ahly’s assistant coach said after the game.

Mohamed El-Shennawy
“We were fully concentrated on the game. I want to thank the fans for their support from the stands which contributed to the victory,” the Ahly veteran keeper and skipper said.
“I consider saving the penalty this time from Karim Benzema and also the other ones when I did the same in previous editions as a past as my main concern now is the next match,” El-Shennawy stated.
“We were lucky against Ittihad unlike what happened with us in the last period, and so we appeared in our best shape, scoring more than one goal; I saved an important penalty and finally we achieved the main target,” he added.

Rami Rabia
“The result against Ittihad gave us big motivation to compete for the Club World Cup title. We prepared well for the game and studied the opponent carefully, which helped us appear in good shape and consequently win,” the Ahly defender said.
“We will directly start preparations for the semis. Ahly has the personality, experiences, and ambitions to secure a new achievement this edition,” Rabia added.

Marwan Attia
“Winning the game’s best player award isn’t only a reward for me but for the team’s effort and the outstanding performance that led to qualification,” the Ahly midfielder said.
“The technical staff studied Ittihad well which contributed to the big victory and pleasing our fans,” Attia added.
