Egyptian side Ahly announced Wednesday that their defender Mohamed Naguib will miss Sunday’s clash with DR Congo’s TP Mazembe in round five of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

“Naguib is suffering pains in his pelivs and an injury in the groin muscle,” reads a statement on the Cairo-based club's official website.

The six-time African champions are currently leading Group B with ten points, three ahead of TP Mazembe, while Ghanaian side Chelsea are third with five points and Zamalek are bottom with no points.

Ahly need only one point from their next two matches to qualify for the semi-finals.
