The 30-year-old put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal with an option for a further year, the Red Devils said in a statement.
The deal also sees young players Mohamed Zaalouk, Ahmed Khaled Kabaka, and Abdelrhaman Rashdan head to Modern Future on loan.
Kamal, a right-back with six months remaining on his previous contract, joined Modern Future FC in 2021 after a move to Zamalek fell through. He quickly impressed, contributing three goals and an assist in 12 games across all competitions this season.
His form earned him a call-up to the Egypt squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he boasts 18 caps. He was part of the team that reached the 2021 AFCON final.
Kamal's arrival marks Ahly's second acquisition in the January transfer window, following the signing of Palestinian striker Wessam Abou Ali on Thursday, as the Cairo Giants look to strengthen their bid for domestic and continental honours.
