Egyptian coach Hossam Hassan
Speaking on a television programme, Maihoub expressed confidence in the appointment, stating: "The atmosphere in Modern Future helps any person succeed, especially those who are determined to do so, which is well-known about Hossam and Ibrahim. I believe they will succeed with the team."
Hossam Hassan, along with his twin brother Ibrahim, had been out of action since being dismissed by Egyptian club Masry last May.
The 57-year-old coach was in his fifth stint coaching Masry, having been appointed in December 2022.
He had previously had brief spells with the team in 2007-2008 and 2011-2012.
Hassan has also had coaching experience with several other Egyptian league clubs, including Zamalek, Pyramids FC, Smouha, and Ittihad of Alexandria.
As a player, Hassan enjoyed a remarkable career with the Egyptian national team and Cairo giants Ahly and Zamalek.
Modern Future FC is currently in 11th place in the league table with 13 points, trailing leaders ZED FC by six points, although ZED FC has played two more games.
The Egyptian team is also participating in the African Confederation Cup, where they currently sit in second place in Group A of the secondary continental tournament with seven points from four games played.
Additionally, Modern Future FC is taking part in the Egyptian League Cup.
