The 24-year-old winger missed three months after sustaining the injury in a game against South African side Sundowns in the semifinals of the African Football League (AFL) last November.
Slim joined the Cairo Giants last summer from Moroccan side FAR Rabat in a 4-year deal.
He made appearances in six games across all competitions - scoring two goals - before his injury.
On Friday, Ahly, who have pinned high hopes on Slim, took to their official social media account, X (formerly Twitter), warmly welcomed back the player and shared photos of him taking part in training sessions.
Ahly's team doctor, Ahmed Jaballah, recently confirmed that Slim completed the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program for his shoulder injury, thus allowing his gradual reintegration into regular training.
Slim will be fully available for Ahly when they face CR Belouizdad in the fourth round of Group D in the CAF Champions League on 16 February.
The defending champions of the CAF Champions League currently sit atop the group with 5 points collected from three games.
