The centre-back has reportedly signed a one-year-and-a-half contract with the 14-time Egyptian league winners. However, the financial details were not disclosed by the club.

Hamed, 26, was a free agent after terminating his contract with Indian side NorthEast United FC directly before his recent appearance with the Palestinian national football team in the Asian Cup.

The player made just one appearance out of four matches as the Palestinian team reached round 16 for the first time before being eliminated after the 2-1 loss to Qatar.

The Palestinian international had a previous experience in the Egyptian Premier League. He played a half season for Port Said-based club since January 2022 before moving to Qatari club Al-Rayyan.

He spent just six months with Al-Rayyan before moving to Kuwaiti side Al-Qadsia in another short stint. Finally, he joined the Indian club where he made eight appearances this season.

Hamed is the fifth signing for the Cairo giants during the current transfer window as the club is making heavy winter recruitment to bolster their squad under the new management.

These signings come after lifting the transfer ban imposed on Zamalek in 2023 due to cases involving unpaid dues to clubs and players.

The Whites have already signed Pyramids FC veteran playmaker Abdallah El-Said and former Ahly playmaker Nasser Maher from Modern Future FC earlier this week.

The club also acquired the services of Dakhlia forward Mohab Yasser and Tanta winger Mohamed Atef.

Currently, Zamalek are in 12th place on the league table with 11 points from eight matches, trailing leaders ZED FC by eight points, who have played two matches more.
