The 35-year-old center-back sustained the injury during the team's final training session ahead of Wednesday's league match against ZED FC, according to Pyramids FC's doctor Mustafa El-Meniri.

"Medical scans revealed a tear in Gabr's adductor muscle, which will keep him sidelined for three weeks," Dr El-Meniri said.

Gabr's absence is a setback for the 2022/23 Egyptian Premier League runners-up, who are scheduled to face Ittihad of Alexandria on Sunday in the 13th matchday of the league.

Despite currently occupying fourth place with 18 points from 12 matches, Pyramids FC have three games in hand and are just four points behind temporary leaders Enppi.
