The Senegalese player was substituted in the 54th minute of the game, and Zamalek tied 0-0 to stay in the 13th place in the league table with 12 points from nine matches.

Zamalek’s medical staff said Ndiaye had started his rehabilitation and treatment program and they are trying to get him ready as soon as possible.

The Cairo giants, which have already qualified for the quarter-finals of the Confederation Cup, will face Abu Salim in the fifth round of the group stage on 25 February in Algeria.

Zamalek leads Group B with 10 points, followed by Abu Salim with nine points, Angola's Sagrada Esperança with four points, and Guinea’s SOAR Coyah with no points.
